Happy International Women's Day to our volunteers
Honorary Justice Services Support (HJSS) would like to recognise the contributions and services of our female Honorary Justices on International Women’s Day.
Women account for over 1100 of our Honorary Justices and make up approximately one-third of roster coordinators at Justice of the Peace Document Signing Stations (DSS).
On behalf of HJSS, we'd like to thank all female volunteers for their hard work and dedication to their roles.

JP praised for 17 years of service at Frankston Police Station
Thank you to Bob Bolch for serving nearly 2 decades as a JP at the Frankston Police Station Document Signing Station (DSS), from 2005 to 2023. Bob also worked as a DSS coordinator during this period.
Bob is known by both the police station staff and his customers as a gentleman who always has a smile on his face.
During his time, we estimate Bob has spent 40,000 hours signing countless documents. It is a remarkable effort, and we wish him continued success in his service to the community.
Milestone moment for Justices of the Peace
We were excited to learn that Geoff Lee was about to complete his 500 duty shifts on the roster at the Warragul Document Signing Station. A member of HJSS made a surprise visit to the DSS services at Warragul Library on 12 September 2022 to present Mr Lee with a Certificate of Appreciation to acknowledge his long and dedicated honorary service to the community.
Your responsibility to be active and available as a JP
The Honorary Justices Act requires that Justices of the Peace be reasonably active and available to the general public.
This means that, unless there are exceptional circumstances, your contact details must be included on the Find a Justice of the Peace search (External link) on justice.vic.gov.au
